Eaglet is playing U10 soccer ⚽️ again (our winter season really is the best playing time) and wishes it be known that they did NOT vote for the team name of the Hollywood Pickles. They were lobbying for the Chicken Nuggets, but a majority of teammates voted otherwise.

I’m at a game now, and the parent next to me is wearing a pickle costume.

It’s gloriously silly.

(At halftime they are ahead 1-0, and the HPs went into the game with a 2-0-0 record.)

(ETA: final score against the Bananas was 1-1, so their record’s now 2-0-1.)

That sounds so silly, but what a fun way to cheer on the team! The pickle costume! Truly inspired. What I wonder is if that parent purchased the pickle costume for the team name or if they had one on hand? Because if it is the latter, I wonder... =D

My friend's child's soccer team calls itself the Yard Goats. She thinks it's hilarious. The child thinks it's a fine name.
