I've heard from other sources that they're of limited utility. But I'm down to only 2 overnight, which well under 20% of what they had been running before turning them on.

It's true that it might be even worse in CoB without them! But it definitely doesn't stop them.

I wish I could turn anon commenting off comm-wide but override that for specific posts.

(There are a lot of mashups where the only sane conclusion is that someone thought it was a good idea at the time. This fails to explain why these get released, however.)

That mashup works surprisingly well. I shouldn't be surprised that a mashup that sticks in my head sometimes, "Mashing Up That Hill," is also by Wax Audio (and has been given video). Dude has a whole bunch of these (http://www.waxaudio.com.au/video), including an alarmingly upbeat if straightforward "Careless Whispers" x "Rebel Yell."

Do you follow selidor? She has a beautiful, beautiful poem about the unity of the Mars probes and their human controllers. I think the entry is locked, but if you left a note on her cover page and said I sent you, she'd probably friend you. She also has a link to an article on the topic.

Cosmos ♥ ♥ ♥

There were some books I knew I had to read my kids in order to feel like I'd passed on the things that were most important to me in life. I felt the same about showing them Cosmos. When I did that, I felt like I had done one of the most important things I could possibly do as a parent.
