Sonny's yearbook from high school is down from the shelf / and he idly thumbs through the pages / some have died, some have fled from themselves / or struggled from here to get there Well I'm accustomed to a smoother ride / maybe I'm a dog that's lost his bite / I don't expect to be treated like a fool no more / I don't expect to sleep the night

I used to draw pictures of Bach's Toccata & Fugue in D minor, in pen and ink, back around 1980. Just little bits of it, but the player piano roll aspect of it was rather similar.

Lots of very cool linkage. Thanks, Larry.

I love the idea of the Bot recitation, complete with appropriate gestures. I can't wait until that's the standard for audio. *g*

The music visualization was very cool. I felt like I learned something about how the music was put together that I wouldn't have in another context. It also reminded me of the video game Ian and Keith have that displays a form of musical notation that you can either play or sing to, complete with feedback on your performance.

The lightening was gone *sob*. That was somethign I really wanted to see.

I cannot believe the amount of effort that must have gone into the smashing of the cream egg. Just incredible.

It's just one of those things that happens. Without warning, and may have happened after you posted, just as easily as before.

That's really cool. Thank you!

There seem to be a lot of "slow motion" pictures of lightening, but at 60FPS, it's barely slower than real-time, especially when you have 5000FPS to compare it to.

Tocatta & Fugue was beautiful--much easier to understand that notation that traditional musical notation; it really seemed to match--made me happy to see it intertwining.

Ah, /b/... my teenaged son loves that site...

Is he involved with the Encyclopedia Dramatica?

*sigh* yes... >_<

But fortunately he's pretty dry-eyed about the whole thing. I *think* (... I think...) he can see the silliness of a lot of the behavior. I think he mainly likes it for some of the memes and things...

I think Bach would have loved that.

I caught the lightning here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hS32r23K1o&fmt=18).

It looks like lightning sends out random walk "scout" branches and the one that makes a conductive contact will define the path the energy takes.
