The crayon color codes are very cool. I love the dog sleeping on the horse, the other zoo pics were fun too.
I was shopping on Oriental Trading company last night and thought of you. I suppose owls are the small-rodent-finding experts. We ought to consult with them more often. :-)

I really appreciated the "not that kind of guy" post. Nothing like that when I was young, nothing.

The age difference in attitudes among guys when these discussions come up is really striking. Makes me hopeful--things are improving.

Yes, yes! I'm finding more and more thirty-something guys, some dads, some single, who are just way more sensitive to issues than guys my age, despite the trumpeting of the sixties. I find it very hopeful.

Yes. Sometimes change takes a few rounds to really take hold. (And the setbacks in between can be truly scary.)

When I first began going to cons, I was amazed by the bad behavior that was excused as "oh, that's just so-and so." (Tucker, Ellison, Asimov, whomever.)

I'm so glad that it's acceptable to find this stuff unacceptable these days.
