This picture's for [livejournal.com profile] jamiam:

Also, this is the cutest Tyrannosaur I've ever made. For those not familiar with U.S. money, the coin's about 2cm across.

Another's in the gallery. Meanwhile, I have a twelve-inch square of translucent paper with spiderweb pattern, of uncertain folding quality.

Models I either have or can readily get preferred.

A praying mantis or a wasp -- something that eats spiders.

Then it becomes a trap to lure some lazy spider into a ready-made web.

I picked a box because it is translucent paper and probably would show all of its folds. AND you could keep toy spiders in it.

These are wonderful. Long ago someone made me a bird. I kept it at work so I could admire it. Someone stole it. (sniffle)

That's so very cool.

Translucent paper, to me, screams jellyfish. My son has a fabulous popup book with a jellyfish, and I was wondering if it could be done. I have no idea.

Am trying to picture the patterns on the paper of the top one, and failing massively. What was it like?

Also, that is an amazingly cute tyrannosaur.

I am beginning to suspect... do you invent these? Not from a book, but from your head, you create these? If so... you are a genius. Genius!

I love your flying unicorn.

I have extremely poor ability to imagine spatial manipulations, myself, so something like origami just amazes me. I'm going to go look at at your image gallery now :-)

(and so I discover it's a gryphon, not a flying unicorn--well. same principle. more or less!)
