For the record, peanut-butter-and-M&Ms sandwiches don't work nearly as well in practice as they sound like they should. Even if you use creamy PB.

Now we know.

And before I forget and [livejournal.com profile] janni starts dropping larger rocks on me -- I recently sold another narrative poem thingy, "Pygmalion's Marriage," to Mythic, an anthology edited by Mike Allen. What happens after the statue comes to life -- because, yanno, as usual Ovid stops just when things get really interesting. This was actually written before "The Myrmidons," and is in some ways an early stab at the themes and manner.

Congrats on the sale! (she said, trying to control her guts heaving at the very thought of M&Ms anywhere near bread or peanut butter...*gag, choke*)

Gag! I don't like mixed flavors of anything, but the idea of the texture of M&Ms and bread is kinda gross.

Congrats on the sale!

Why not just buy peanut butter M&M's and not bother with the bread?

Yay yay for the poetry sale to Mike! Looking forward to reading that. :)

And maybe next time, put the M&Ms in the blender first, then sprinkle them on the peanut butter.

Can you tell I love peanut butter and chocolate? Too bad it doesn't love me.

Peanut butter and M&M sandwiches.

Individually, all of those words are inoffensive; together, they create obscenity.

Congrats on the sale! Perhaps you should try peanut butter and vegemite to satisfy your inner Australian. We all have an inner Australian, you know.

Whenever I hear the word vegemite, I keep on imagining a race of anthropomorphic, hostile alien vegetables that have come to Earth to enslave us all.

And thank you and Miss Janni for the loveliest card and loveliest message ever - I have put it on my fridge, next to the picture of my cat!

Yay Larry! Congratulations!!

Hmm. I'm glad you warned me about that food combo. I think it sounds ok, but I'll likely refrain from trying it now.

I'm driving out to Tucson tomorrow! Carpooling with two other Revere students. Hope I can meet up with you & Janni, I'll be there all week. Please email me at laurie at acanthusleaf dot com. I can't wait to have Tucson crisps again.
