It helps, I find, to have music in the background as I work, whether it's my local classical station, Icelandic pop, or imported trance. And there's some nifty independent stations (I'm fond of the latter's Secret Agent stream) on the 'net. To help find the right mix, there are several directories of indie and commercial stations, all waiting for your ears.
