So Sunday afternoon, after visiting three pet stores as side-quests from their search for a new school backpack,* Eaglet did some online research for a replacement for the worn-out cat-tree, and after dinner sat janni and I down in front of their computer and did a Shark Tank-style presentation of three potential “investment opportunities” aka models to purchase, highlighting features versus cost versus space available. After some back and forth we came to an agreement on a best fit and shook hands on a deal. (We then ordered it.)

Eaglet spent the rest of the evening giddy over having done something all by themself. They want to do the assembly by themself as well.


* They started fifth grade yesterday. Yes.
