Thanks to recent explorations of Schoolhouse Rock, specifically the songs “The Preamble” and “I’m Just a Bill,” last night Eaglet spent their wind-down-in-bed-before-falling-asleep time reading Article I, Sections 1-4 of the U.S. Constitution.

I have no words.

(Janni did have to explain the three-fifths compromise. I believe that would be when I heard a “What the heck?!” from their bedroom.)

Their teacher has been using some of the grammar songs in class -- current favorites of those are "Interjections!" ("Hey! That smarts!") and "Conjunction Junction."
