larryhammerI'm pleased to announce the publication of First League Out: Story Poems of the Sea, another anthology geared for reading pleasure. (Why, yes, all that sea poetry I was reading last year had something to do with this, why do you ask?) 130-odd poems, most of them complete, of oceanic narrative verse. Here's the cover copy:
Plus the occasional illustration for your enjoyment. And before you ask, yes, the obligatory Masefield is there, as are a bunch of tasty selections I hadn't known about before last year's binge. The title, btw, comes from Emily Dickinson, from a poem that since it wasn't actually narrative, I had to sneak in as an epigraph.
