So after a weekend in Schenectady for a bar mitzvah, I still can't correctly spell the place on the first try. (Ditto Rensselaer, but it's not like I did more than pass through its train station.) Ah, well.
Before that, though, there were a few days in New York City, where there were at least a half-dozen ramen shops within three blocks of our Midtown East hotel. Noodles were had, many kinds. We hit all of the Eaglet's bucket list: dinosaur fossils at the Natural History Museum (with bonus blue whale sorry I mean HUMONGOROUS LIFE SIZE BLUE WHALE HANGING OVERHEAD, along with other ocean life previously seen on Octonauts and other media), the Liberty Statue, Chinatown, and subways. All were liked, except the subways. (They were too loud. And took too long. And meant walking a lot.)
And for once, I returned to work Not Exhausted.
So, yeah, that was a success.

I didn’t mention in the post that they also play-tested a couple different playgrounds in Central Park. (Never made it to the Zoo, though.)
