On the even more rare occasion, when I've clicked on someone's Location in their post, I find a bit of entertainment and/or amusement. (Not a difficult thing to do, working on my 70th year of Earthly existence...)
Clicking on "East of the asterisk" revealed nothing exact, but offered me East of the Web (http://eastoftheweb.com). I saw that it had Short Stories among other things, so I clicked on one titled: "Eternity is 20 Seconds Long".
The first thing my twisted mind does when I read a sentence which contains words or word-structures with varying meanings, is to assess all the possible twists, contexts, and possible absurdities. Thus, when the author wrote Kev adjusted his position in the hammock, just enough to look round., mind responded with, "Just how ROUND did he look?".
Having started school before Television, I learned "proper English", or faced the consequences! Anyway, (or is that "anyhow"???), I read on and found that the story had an interesting twist -- a SciFi sort of thing.
As it is a short, short story, I really wanted more, but then, wouldn't that be anti-climatic, I wonder...
(And, as Tor, my Mentor was fond of saying, "Do not wander too far. Unlike Columbus, you may well fall off the face of the Earth.)
