A sentence that makes me sit up and go "oh-HO":

The theorem proposed by Barrett shows that theories that treat the wavefunction in terms of lack of knowledge of a system’s physical state will also fail to reproduce those predictions [of Bell's Inequality]."

In other words, Schoedinger was right, the wavefunction is not just a statistical tool but corresponds to something physical. Assuming this holds up, that is.
