I am in awe of what vidders seem to be able to do by second nature: pick out the relevant needles of scenes from the hours-and-hours-long haystack of a series. Compiling them together into a smooth sequence is also impressive, especially getting timing right, but gathering the raw material is even more so. I can only conclude that vidders tend to have memories that are much more visually keyed than mine, and so remember where to look.

(I've had a vid concept stuck in my mind for a year or two now, but it would require rewatching an entire 52-episode anime series, parts of it several times, and with the relax-into-the-story brain turned off, to find the requisite images -- which intimidates me. And slightly depresses me.)
