At the risk of being insensitive, what's wrong with prunes?

(I was in the habit of grabbing a few when leaving for work and still hungry, a few years ago. They do not have the effect on me that they are known for, at least not if I stop at 4-5, which I do. But I think of them as just another dried fruit.)

I love prunes. Eat them all the time.

I've seen them marketed as "dried plums" lately. Prunes, you see, are for old people. Dried plums are for the hip and trendy 'now' generation. Your confession that you like prunes will probably be used as evidence that it's time to shove you out on an ice floe where you will likely be eaten by a polar bear. It's part of the Great Circle of Life, and the reason I like dried plums.
