Mark this down as I Have No (Big) Words For It: Swiss Family Robinson in Words of One Syllable Adapted from the Original by [Lucy] Aikin. See as well this, that, the one more, and most of all oh dear gods. Not to men-tion ...

But that sounds like a good enough excuse for some linksausages, if not for sausage links:

The Myth of the Panicking Disaster Victim (via)

Beating on the giant catfish that causes earthquakes.

"Deep Sorriness Atonement Song" (via)

"Machine Civilization" by World Order (lyrics), with bonus robot dancing in business suits. The complexity of the choreography in the second half astonishes me.

Chill out with this rainy session collaboration between a downtempo breakbeat duo and some Indian musicians. The dialog between modern percussion and tabla is 'specially delish.

(post title from this)

Mmm -- sausage.

The vast majority of people, when a disaster hits, behave in the aftermath as altruists. They organize spontaneously to save their fellow human beings, to share what they have, and to show kindness .... When everything else is stripped away, when the buildings fall and the seas rise, we remember all that really matters is caring for each other.

Thank you--you made my world better just now with that link.
