Parental amusements:
Soon after arriving here for the holiday weekend, my father snagged![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
janni's ARC of Faerie Winter. He finished reading it the next day and started working his way through Ôoku volume 1, his first manga. Which he found interesting but not enough to continue to volume 2 -- so he then bounced off Bunny Drop, read Kare Kano volume 1 (?!), and then settled in with a book about ravens.
Mom, in the mean time, alternated between Miss Manners' book on Venice, crossword puzzles, and bookbinding lessons from Janni. Plus, last night, a game of scrabble which she won with SQUIRES (Q on a triple-letter) ten seconds after complaining she was too far behind to ever possibly win. There was also a bookstore crawl in there.
