Thanks for the kind wishes. In return, here's a couple more amusing sample sentences from foreign language grammar books:

Tanaka-san ga shinjiyô ga shinjimai ga, boku wa hakkiri to UFO o mimashita - "Whether Tanaka believes it or not, I clearly saw a UFO." (Being said by a polite young man.)

Tatsu no kubi no tama toriezu wa, kaeriku na - "If you don't succeed in getting the jewel from the dragon's neck, don't come back!" (Being said by someone in Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, presumably the title character, used to demonstrate some of the less knobby, but still eyebrow-raising, classical Japanese verbs.)
