And for Yuletide, my secret santas have given me not one but two fics on Ovid's Metamorphoses: "Spinning Fate," taking up Arachne's story after she has been turned into a spider (with bonus cameos by Prometheus and Niobe), and Telê, a series of post-story drabbles on Argos, Phaeton, Cadmus, Hermaphroditos, Kore, and Arachne again. Yum! Thank you thank you, O anonymous gifters. I can only hope that my recipient has gotten a seventh of the joy I feel.

Thought of you today: the younger generation gave wakanomori Yotsuba 6 and 7 for Christmas (but we're all going to enjoy reading them).

Oh, you are indeed all going to enjoy them. Volume 6 is the one where Yotsuba gets a bike -- which prompts her to say "I can go anywhere" while her father smiles indulgently. The silly man.
