Things accomplished last night include:

1. Washed most of the dishes
   
2. Carved the rest of the turkey
   
3. Stocked the resulting carcass (5 quarts in the freezer)
   
4. Cooked dinner (more turkey!)
   
5. Read 20-odd pages of Six Dynasties & early T'ang poetry
   
6. Brought checkbook up to date
   
7. Caught up on all current bills

Thing I didn't finish last night:

1. Restore my crashed system

Which means, of course, I felt like a useless thing who got nothing done. Four attempts to restore from the factory-supplied recovery disk all failed, each at a different point -- twice it got as far as initializing the install before failing to reboot.

Mental myopia -- gotta love it.
