larryhammerYet another appeal to the lazywebs: What's the term for a fanfic in which one character is replaced by someone from another series? Are these ever written in compliment pairs, with the two characters exchanged, and if so, is there a separate term for that? "Crossover" is, as I understand it, too general.
(Surely if I know the True Name for this idea, I can exorcise Arufato!* + Yotsuba no Kaidashi Kikou** from my brain and so make room for better inspiration. That, or convince someone to make the doujinshi.
* Alpha&!: A laid-back translator, Koiwai, becomes the "owner" of a shy, awkward prototype android with green hair and a single ponytail, to socially acclimate her in a contemporary Japanese neighborhood.
** Yotsuba's Shopping Log: After the ecological collapse, a naive but energetic orphan with green hair and four pigtails is taken in by the proprietor of a lonely country café, whereupon she wrecks havoc among the neighbors.)
