It took a lot of will power for me to finally leave the dogs in bee costumes website. It was...fascinating.

Steve comments he wishes he could have been in London yesterday for the re-enactment of the Admiral Nelson funeral.

He would also like to point out that, fictionally, C.S. Forster put Horatio Hornblower in charge of said funeral. Yes, the funeral took place in January. I surmised they didn't want to do the re-enactment at that time of year. Steve surmises that it was a matter of wind and tide.

I love the Psychological stufy about the inhabitants of the hundred acre woods. I've long thought that such a study was called for. And to think, people have been reading about these psychologically disturbed beings to their children for years!

I've great hopes that Dr.Shea will take on other childhood literary psychotics: The Runaway Bunny (clearly an abusive family arrangement) Pinnochio (what does that growing nose really represent) Mary Poppins! (who is also clearly subversive!)

Congrats to Dr.Shea for figuring it all out! Now, I'll go print it off so dh can share in the laugh.

Oh Mrs.Pigglewiggle is just your average monseter in a Great Aunt suit. Starving child and growing food behind their ears.
Really, she should have been reported to the authorities long ago.
