... I'm haunted by a story / and do my best to tell it
1. The new The Muppets movie is from start to finish pure service to fans of the original tv show, but has a reasonably tightly structured story inside its dressing of mixed earnestness, cornball cheese, and medium awareness. In particlar, the two human leads do a good job of keeping straight faces while playing their roles as earnestly as their felt costars. "Maniacal laughter. Maniacal laughter."
2. I can only hope that, if you celebrate Thanksgiving, it was as good as ours.
