The thing to link to, even though everyone else has already, is How He Did It, an extensive (7 chapter) article by reporters from Newsweek magazine, who were granted inside access to the Obama, McCain, and Clinton campaigns in return for not publishing anything until after the election. The last chapter, which frankly was a little disappointing given the high quality reportage of the previous installments, went up this morning. Clear a couple hours from your schedule before starting.

But no fear, there's things interesting to readers outside the States, such as this fall color wheel, what cod has to do with sub-prime mortgages, and what a high school student learned about writing from interning with an agent -- though coolest of all is umbrella loudspeakers.
