PSA: What Trader Joe's Spicy Seaweed Ramen is actually attempting to be is kimchee-flavored ramen.

(As ramen, it does okay, though the stuff in the fridges at our local Korean grocery is better and cheaper. As Kimchee, not so much.)

I've been out of homemade kimchi for weeks now, and am very sad. But we have no Trader Joes, so I suspect this is a good thing.

Huh. Does kimchi ramyeon usually have seaweed in it? Not rhetorical--I'm not sure I've ever had ramyeon specifically.

I'll take the corner Korean grocery's kimchi over TJ's, any day. And not just because they're a mile closer.
