larryhammerI've had some last lingering Yuletide recs, which I haven't been posting since, like, forever. Consider it a casualty of January's work deadlines. But now that it's no longer January, wallah -- reading for what has been, in the States, decidedly depths-of-winter weather:
Darkness on the Deep, in which Genesis gets a style makeover, with bonus Lilith. Yay Lilith!
Four Seasons, a Dragon, and a River in Flood, in which Xi Wangmu gets a style makeover, in a way that reminds me of Maxine Hong Kinston.
It's the Muppet Doctor Who Special, with Our Very Special Guest Star, Matt Smith!, in which the history of Doctor Who is recapitulated as an episode of The Muppet Show. Almost all the female companions are, like, played by Janice. Far out. Needless to say, chaos happens in a very muppety way -- hilariously.
(Speaking of The Muppet Show and fanfic, after watching the final song of season 2's last episode, I want to read the Cloris Leachman/Sweetums/Doglion PWP threesome fic that I know has to be out there.) (Yes, I am a little odd. Why do you ask?)
And while it's not Yuletide, everyone who has read more than one fableau should go read Chaucer Hath a Blog's "fab-lib" Concerning the Compaignye of III. Or even those who haven't.
