I don't actually have a nightstand. What ends up at the end of the bed, where there's a bit of space made, is usually not books...those are pretty much at hand in the bookshelves around the place; the library books are racked in the old computer desk that now serves as the stand for the TV and home theater system. If anything, the current reading matter will end up by the bed, but that wil be a single book at a time.
