Since the post about traveling here got et, a rememberance of last year's vacation:

While wandering, only slightly lost, through downtown Reykjavík, we found set in the sidewalk a small brass circle that claimed to be the hub of the city, annotated "Hither and thither and yon" in Icelandic and English. A bit of serendipity that struck us, giddy with reuniting after a week traveling apart, as a highlight of the trip.

How cool! And sympathies on the eaten post. I've had some appear to be eaten that later appeared -- they're in the process of changing some of the server architecture, the way I read the reports, and given the volume, I'm not too surprised that even with redundancies, not everything gets caught.

I suspect it was browser hang, actually, but I'm willing to blame "them" — equal opportunity finger-pointing.
