I had an awesome Yuletide—though am feeling a little ashamed that requited receiving six amazing fics by managing to write only one:

Your Kindness Would Be My Release for Aeschylus’s Oresteia—specifically Agamemnon, as the request was for Cassandra/Clytemnestra:
Last night, or maybe tonight, Agamemnon tells me we should arrive in Argos the next day. His kingdom. The place of my final visions, where I finally meet her. Clytemnestra.
Tags include Slavery, Canon-Typical Violence, and Troy Should Be Its Own Warning.

This was a hard one to write—I had to scrap three different partial drafts before finally finding a workable way into the story, the day before it was due. Cassandra is a disconcerting point of view, rent as she is from the weft of linear time. It’s similar that way to my other Cassandra fic, only with chronology flattened instead of inverted.

I’m slowly collecting a small list of recommendations as I explore the collection, but as a teaser, I’ll just mention that Austen’s Persuasion was well represented this year.

Anyone have any recs to share?
