Wednesday reading, right.
Read aloud:
Bone, Jeff Smith -- Rest of volume 5 plus v6. (Don't have v7 in hand, so we've been forced, forced I tell you, to reread random volumes of Monkey King.)
Plus, one major omission from last week's catchup: I've been retelling Greek myths to Eaglet for much of the last year, including memorably retelling as much of the Odyssey as I can remember, out of order, in installments during bathtime -- plus we've read several shorter children's books here and there. Last month, we finally got to D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths. That took several days.
Reading in progress to self:
Got distracted from Chinese webnovels by two things:
Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality, Less Wrong -- Which, man, is so much fun, the way hyper-Ravensclaw Harry pokes at every. Single. Dubious. Worldbuilding. that Rowling tosses up. And for several other reasons.
Under One Banner, Graydon Saunders -- rereading book 4 of the Commonweal series, to prep for #5 (recently out) as that's the second half of the story.
---L.
Subject quote from Lamorack and the Queen Morgause of Orkney, Charles Williams.
