Speaking of Hokusai, I bring to your attention this sketch (assuming it doesn't break f-list displays) from one of his collections of random drawings under the general title of Manga:
It's a depiction of a traditional Japanese dance (link is to video of a performance) from Sendai called suzume odori, "sparrow dance," after its movements being based on the flutterings of the birds on the crest of the Date clan, the lords of that domain.
This picture is clearly calling out to be made into an animated GIF icon. I note, totally disinterestedly, to anyone passing through who might happen to have the proper tools.
