And the piece forgets that most people in north Wales speak Welsh (we live in the Marches so even hear it on this side of the border and see bilingual labelling a lot) and many Scottish highlanders speak Gallic.

The Scot, being from the Lothians, speaks Scots and many of my ancestors on that border would have spoken Lalans, which still exists.
