I've also realized lately that there are precious few pop/rock/similar songs about (a) remembering in the moment, not the shelved past; (b) having romantic feelings for a person without being OTT gushy or bleeding out onto the floor for the sake of it; (c) true reassurance. ("Dreaming" may be encouraging aslant, but it is not reassuring, I think.) Curious whether anyone who happens to see this knows things I don't!
