On a more personal note, another poetry sale that chuffs me quite a bit: "Desert Stories" to Mythic Delierium. It is in mixed English and Japanese. I won't claim the haiku portions are good haiku, but they were composed in Japanese and they are mine. Also, it's about the desert, and we need more non-temperate fairy tales.

Tip of the hat and a deep bow to [livejournal.com profile] asakiyume for the helpful beta, in parts and in whole.

(One more day of deadlines ... )

Congratulations. I agree, we need more non-temperate fairy tales.

Congratulations!

I've written a haiku that managed to be a haiku in both Japanese and its English translation. It's a terrible poem -- as I am a terrible poet -- but yeah, there's that whole "I made this one!" pride. :-)
