Department of the slightly odd
There's a restaurant in Reykjavik that's supposedly Mexican. It is, though, more of a Danish interpretation of Mexican. Enchiladas should not be crunchy, nor should they be filled with nacho cheese sauce.
Tasty, but not really what's advertised.

There were a couple sushi places in Reykjavik, which I actually expect are pretty good, as there's pretty of high-quality fresh fish available. We didn't try it, though, as they were pricy even by Icelandic standards. Also, there was enough local stuff to try.
