Maybe I'm misinterpreting what constitutes art here, which seems to be a bad habit of mine.

All I know is that NGE has left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. Perhaps it was more because of the fans, but I distinctly get a feeling of "I'd rather not watch that again" on remembering my first viewing of it.
