I need to work on prose now

State of the finished draft: 735 lines, 5370 words, 57 colons, 26 semicolons, 20 parentheses, 176 em-dashes, and one 2-em-dash.

I've apparently upgraded my colonic love affair from semi to full. I even manage 3 colons in a single stanza -- while another, stuttery one has 8 em-dashes. But that's not really a fair comparison, as dashes can be both semistops and parenthetical.

What I said about sometimes poetry is all about the affixes? I was wrong. It's all about the breath marks.

Wow. I am really impressed. No poem I've ever written has been more than 60 lines long. Most are under 40.

Unlike me. *g*

Congrats on finishing. That really is an accomplishment.

Congratulations.

But...there's something vaguely kinky about the phrase 'colonic love affair'. Not sure what.
